Situated close to historic Delhi, this triad of places - Agra, Jaipur and Khajurao witnessed astonishing bursts of creative energy from various dynasties. Agra is the Moghul city of the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. The pink city of Jaipur is a fine example of Rajput Town planning, while Khajuraho is 'home' to graceful erotic temples. Ancient capital of Hindu faith & learning, Varanasi is one of the rolling dunes of the Great Thar Desert. Pushkar is a peaceful, relaxing pilgrimage spot, an oasis in the desert where the quality of the life is not strained. Finally, the refined elegance of Udaipur its charming gardens, lakes and palaces is an appropriate way to end this exciting cultural tour through the plains of India.
Day 1. NEW DELHI
Arrive New Delhi. Breakfast. Transfer to Connaught Hotel or similar. Full day sightseeing of New Delhi. Includes cycle rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk - Visit surrounding areas of the old market. Afternoon visit tombs, Qutab Minar, Presidents palace & India Gate. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 2. VARANASI
Breakfast. Depart for Varanasi by flight. Transfer to Clark Towers or similar. P.M. Half day sightseeing of Hindu temples. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3. VARANASI
Early morning boat ride on the River Ganges. Breakfast. Visit bathing & burning ghats after breakfast. P.M. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath-place where Buddha came to preach the message of the middle path. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4. KHAJURAHO. A.M. Breakfast. Depart for Khajuraho by flight. Transfer to Clarks Khajuraho or similar. Afternoon free. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5. AGRA
Breakfast. Full day cycle rickshaw tour of Khajurao visiting Western, Southern & Eastern group of temples. Depart for Agra by flight. Transfer to Mansingh Palace, Agra or similar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6. AGRA
Breakfast. A.M. Visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), in the early morning hours. P.M. Visit Agra Fort & Sikander Tomb. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7. BHARATPUR
Breakfast. A.M. Depart Agra for Fatehpur Sikri, the ‘ghost’ city of India & the one time capital of King Akbar. Proceed to Bharatpur (56 kms). Transfer to Bharatpur Forest Lodge. The Bharatpur Bird Park is ‘home’ to over 200 species of migratory birds during the winter months (Nov –to- Feb). Overnight at lodge.
Day 8. ALWAR
Before sunrise, began the cycle rickshaw tour inside the park. Spend 4 hours exploring the park on bicycle. Breakfast. P.M. Depart for Alwar (120 kms). Arrive late evening. Transfer to Kesroli Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9. JAIPUR
Breakfast. Morning free at Kesroli. P.M. Afternoon transfer to Jaipur(132 kms). Transfer to Hotel Mansingh. Late afternoon proceed on a walking tour of the different markets at Chandpole. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10. PUSHKAR
Breakfast. A.M. Half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting Amer Fort, City Palace & Museum. Depart for Pushkar (146 kms), site of the largest camel fair of the world. Transfer to Pushkar Palace. P.M. Afternoon visit the Hindu temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11. JODHPUR
Breakfast. A.M. Depart for Jodhpur (200 kms). Transfer to Ajit Bhawan Palace or similar. Late afternoon visit the Mehrangarh Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12. KUMBALGARH
Breakfast. A.M. Depart for Kumbalgarh (177 kms). Check-in at Aondhi Hotel. Kumbalgarh is known for the famed Kumbalgarh Fort & also the Raunkpur Jain Temples. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13. UDAIPUR
Breakfast, followed by 2 hour horse safari. P.M. Drive to Udaipur (95 kms). Check in at Hotel Shikarbadhi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14. UDAIPUR
Breakfast. Full day sightseeing tour of Udaipur includes visits to Eklingji & Nagda, besides visits to City Palace, Dolls Museum, Fatehsagar Lake & Pratap Memorial. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15
Depart Udaipur for Mumbai by flight. Arrive Mumbai. Transfer to Hotel Ambassador or similar. Late afternoon walking tour within the fort area. Proceed to international airport for onward flight.
